Do you charge a set-up fee ?

No, the set-up fee is included in the price quoted for one year of virtual web hosting.  If you wish to have a dedicated server, there is a set-up fee to cover the time and expense to set them up.

What forms of payment do you accept ?

Paypal is the preferred method of payment but we also accept a variety of other payment methods, please feel free to Email us at webhosting@oriweb.com if you'd prefer to pay in a different matter.

How long does it take to get my site functional ?

It really depends on the propagation time for the change in DNS information for the Domain Name. We do not charge you for your account until all the Name Servers on the internet can find your site. Once this has happened ( usually within 3 days ) it only takes a couple of hours to set up.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my account ?

Yes, If you wish to downgrade there is a $10 admin charge and you will be refunded on the difference between the original hosting package and your new one. You can upgrade without an admin charge and just pay the difference between your original hosting package and your new package.

Do you provide tech support ?

Yes, we will give you all the support you need through E-Mail. When requesting help please be as detailed as possible about your problem, this will help us to give you a fast and efficient response. There is no charge for support.

Can I transfer an existing domain to your servers ?

Yes, simply contact the company you registered the domain name through and ask them to change the DNS settings so they point to our Name Servers.

What is the difference between virtual and dedicated hosting ?

If you have a virtual server account your site will be hosted on one of our servers along with other peoples sites. With a dedicated server your site or sites are hosted on their own server. It will also give you much more control over your sites. Ideal for people who want to offer hosting services to others or are hosting a large site with thousands of visitors a day.

Do you have any CGI scripts I can install ?

There are plenty of free and cheap CGI scripts available on the Internet, we have gathered some of the most useful ones you can instal. Alternatively we can install and set up these scripts for you from $5, this then includes tech support for integrating them into your site.

Can I use Frontpage or Publisher ?

Yes, FrontPage extensions can be added at any time..

What type of sites can I host ?

Most type of sites are OK however the following are NOT :

1) Hacking / cracking / warez or illegal MP3
2) Obscene/Pornographic speech or materials
3) Any site violating intellectual property
4) Any site containing defamatory or abusive language.
5) Any site running IRCbots
6) Any illegal content

Can I use my account for commercial purposes ?

Yes.

What hardware will my virtual hosting be on ?

We host sites on Cobalt RaQ3 servers, each capable of serving around 7 million page requests a day.

What sort of internet connection do you have ?

Each server has a 100Mbps connection to Dual OC-48 connections direct to the internet backbone based in the USA.
