What is it ?
These programs from Microsoft are designed to help you design and publish
your own webpages as easily as possible.
Why should I use it ?
If you have read the section on CGI scripts and feel that it is a
bit beyond you to try then these programs make it easy as they automate
the installation of such scripts. Basically you just tell the program what
you want it to do and it sorts out all the script for you.
How do I use it ?
To use these programs you will need some special scripts installed on your
hosting package, we automatically ad them to all new accounts. To upload
your site :
1) Using FrontPage Explorer on a personal computer, select Open
FrontPage Web.
2) Select More Webs.
3) Type the exact virtual host name into the Web Server field.
4) Click List Webs.
5) Choose the web named root web.
6) Click OK.
