Data Transfer

This is basically how many visitors your site can cope with. It is quoted in Gb / Month. For example, if you have just one page on your site which is 50Kb. Then each time someone visits your page that counts as 50Kb towards your Data Transfer allowance. From this you can see that 2GB / Month limit would allow 40,000 page views a month and 5GB / Month would allow 100,000 page views per month.

Only a VERY small percentage of the sites we host ever reach this level of traffic. If you do you then have two options.

Firstly you can restrict the number of visitors to your site or you can pay to extend the bandwidth of your hosting package.
